Affiliate Marketing and Google AdWords

This is not an article but my personal story. It was one wonderful day and I thought of becoming an affiliate marketer. I searched in the internet for more information and what I understood was that I can earn up $10,000 per month. I started searching for the right way to make money. Let us leave the story there and come to the present situation. Now, I am a professional affiliate marketer and I too own a website. Now, I need to advertise my product. Which is the effective way to advertise and promote my product?

The method I found as the best one was Google AdWords. Immediately, I got registered my website in the Google directory. For sign up process I spent another $5. And now I am ready to start the business.

Now, I need a proper keyword to promote my product through Google. I picked up few keywords through Google to use in my ads. After placing the AdWords, I made a trial search in the Google. I was shocked to see my web page appearing after 20 pages. I found that the keyword I used was not the right one as many competitors were using this keyword.

Again, I searched for keywords that suites my budget. Now, my ad is appearing in the first page and I am happy to see it. Now, I am confident that I can earn more dollars through my site. But, in the first month I was able to get only two to three sales. I was not satisfied with my performance. Again, I visited other similar sites and made some changes in the ads and contents of my site. Now, I myself find changes in my site and hope one day I will achieve my goal by earning $10,000 dollars per month.
